Im currently working with a well-established and highly regarded law firm with offices across Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands that is looking to add a Family Solicitor to its growing team. This is a genuine opportunity for someone who enjoys building trusted client relationships, wants to develop their technical expertise in private family law, and is keen to be part of a collaborative and supportive environment.
The role
- Youll take ownership of your own caseload and be trusted to manage matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, with appropriate support from senior colleagues within the family team as and when needed.
- The work is varied and client-facing, and youll play an important role in maintaining the high service standards the team is known for.
- Advising clients on private family law matters and guiding them through often sensitive issues with care and clarity.
- Managing the full client lifecycle, from onboarding through to billing and fee management.
- Drafting and reviewing legal documentation in preparation for hearings.
- Running files in line with regulatory and internal compliance requirements, including file audits.
- Working closely with colleagues to share knowledge and support the wider team.
- Keeping senior lawyers updated on case progress and key developments.
About you
You will be a solicitor or legal executive (2-4 years+ PQE) who is confident handling straightforward matters independently, but who is also comfortable seeking guidance when dealing with unfamiliar or more complex issues.
Youre likely to:
- Apply sound legal judgement and identify the relevant legal principles in practice.
- Take pride in producing high-quality, accurate work.
- Be approachable, professional and client-focused.
