A well-established and busy law firm is seeking an experienced Conveyancing Assistant to join its Residential Property and New Build Conveyancing teams. This is a client-facing role ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced conveyancing environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent level of service.
The Role
As a Conveyancing Assistant, you will provide essential support across a varied caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including both sales and purchases. Responsibilities will include:
- Opening new conveyancing files and maintaining case management systems
- Assisting with residential and new build property transactions from instruction through to completion
- Preparing contracts, searches, completion statements, and related documentation
- Handling client enquiries professionally via phone and email
- Supporting fee earners with administration, filing, post-completion tasks, and billing
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 12 months experience as a Conveyancing Assistant or in a similar conveyancing support role
- Experience supporting residential conveyancing sales and purchases
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow processes and instructions accurately
- Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills
- Confident IT and keyboard skills; numerate and literate
- Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure
