Solicitor in Hull

A well-established Hull-based law firm are looking for a Solicitor to join their Actions Against the Police department. This role offers hybrid working and a bonus scheme. You’ll handle claims where clients’ rights have been allegedly breached by the police or public authorities, working on varied, high-quality cases in a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise and represent clients in claims against the police and public bodies
• Investigate incidents, draft letters of claim, and manage cases through court if needed
• Negotiate settlements and liaise with experts
• Provide excellent client care throughout

Skills & Experience:

• Qualified solicitor with civil litigation, human rights, AAPA, civil liberties or human rights experience
• Strong advocacy, drafting, and client-facing skills
• Able to manage your own caseload independently
