Who we are We are Upgrad’d Laboratories. By fusing skincare, technology and nutrition, we aim to be the most exciting beauty company in the world. Driven by evidence-led innovation, we create our own products entirely in-house and work with global suppliers, retailers and distributors to bring them to market.
We’re looking for a Print & Packaging Designer (with a soft skillset in digital design) to join our Product Development Team. The focus of this role is on packaging and print design, but there will also be opportunities to contribute to digital creative projects.
Who You Are You’re a creative problem-solver with a passion for design, detail and aesthetics. You thrive on developing standout packaging, enjoy working hands-on from concept through to finished product, and bring fresh ideas that push boundaries. You’re trend-aware, highly organised, and excited by the chance to shape the visual identity of a fast-growing beauty company.
The Role You’ll be responsible for conceptualising, designing and delivering high-quality packaging and print materials that communicate our brand vision and meet the needs of our private-label and in-house product ranges. From initial concepts through to print-ready artwork, you’ll manage projects end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, consistency and strong creative execution.
You’ll also support our marketing team occasionally with digital assets — such as social visuals and presentations — but your primary expertise will be in packaging and print design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop packaging across multiple product categories, ensuring innovation and visual impact.
- Create a range of print materials including brochures, flyers, POS, and other brand collateral.
- Combine typography, imagery and layout to deliver clean, functional and brand-consistent designs.
- Prepare and finalise print-ready files, ensuring compliance with cutter guides, print specifications and colour matching.
- Collaborate with the NPD team, suppliers and printers to manage projects from concept to delivery.
- Maintain consistency across brand portfolios and set up style guides/artworking files for scale-up.
- Contribute fresh ideas in concept development, ideation and prototyping.
- Provide occasional support with digital design (presentations, social graphics, website visuals).
- Carry out product photography and editing as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years in packaging and graphic design, ideally within beauty, FMCG or lifestyle brands.
- Technical Expertise: Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat Pro) and knowledge of print production processes.
- Creative Edge: Ability to generate impactful concepts and execute them into polished print-ready designs.
- Organisation: Capable of managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines and maintaining structured file management.
- Collaboration: Confident working with cross-functional teams, printers and suppliers.
- Bonus Skills: Photography/editing and digital design experience.
