Haris Law Solicitors is a busy, family specialist law firm located in the heart of Blackburn town centre. We are a Resolution and Lexcel-accredited law firm. We pride ourselves on delivering clear, practical legal advice with a personal touch. As our firm continues to grow, we’re expanding our Family Law Department and are looking for committed and capable solicitors to join our team.
The Role
This is a full-time role involving both privately and publicly funded cases. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload, provide high-quality client care, and handle matters from initial instruction through to conclusion, including advocacy where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling a caseload of family law matters
- Advising clients on funding options and assessing financial eligibility
- Instructing and liaising with counsel, experts, and third parties
- Representing clients in court and conducting advocacy when required
- Delivering compassionate and clear advice to often vulnerable clients
- Ensuring compliance with Lexcel and SRA standards
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 1 year PQE
- Strong knowledge of family law, especially divorce and finances
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Comfortable working independently and using initiative
- Experience working with sensitive or vulnerable clients
- Strong time management and case management skills
