About the Role

As a Team Leader at Conway House, you will lead the delivery of high‑quality short breaks care for children and young people aged 8–18 with additional needs. You will coordinate and lead shifts, ensuring a safe, structured and supportive environment where children can thrive. Working within Children’s Homes Regulations and best practice standards, you will oversee care delivery, implement behaviour and support plans, manage incidents, and ensure routines, activities and transitions run smoothly. This hands‑on leadership role will support both operational delivery and staff performance, ensuring consistently high standards of care and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and lead shifts for short break teams.
  • Ensure a safe, structured and supportive environment for children.
  • Oversee care delivery in line with Children’s Homes Regulations.
  • Implement behaviour and support plans, manage incidents.
  • Maintain smooth routines, activities and transitions.
  • Support staff performance and professional development.
  • Uphold high standards of care and safeguarding.

Qualifications & Experience

You will be an experienced and confident practitioner with a background in supporting children or young people with SEND or complex needs, ideally within a residential or respite setting. You will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of safeguarding, behaviour support and child‑centred practice, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families and professionals.
