About the Role

We are seeking an organised and customer‑focused Works Co‑ordinator (Planned Works) to support the delivery of responsive repairs across our housing portfolio. In this role, you will be responsible for prioritising and scheduling repairs efficiently, ensuring appointments are arranged in line with service level agreements and council policies. You will manage operatives’ diaries, coordinate workloads and liaise with contractors to ensure repairs are delivered on time and in a cost‑effective way. You will play a key role in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, keeping residents informed, monitoring job progress and ensuring accurate records are maintained from initial contact through to completion. Your ability to balance service demand with operational capacity will be essential to success in this role.

You will join our Housing Repairs Service, part of a busy and collaborative team responsible for coordinating a mobile workforce and delivering high‑quality day‑to‑day repairs to residents. The team works closely with operatives, contractors, housing management and customer service colleagues to ensure services run smoothly and efficiently. We are committed to delivering a resident‑focused service that is responsive, reliable, and continuously improving. About You

You are a proactive and highly organised individual with a strong focus on delivering excellent customer service. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment, you are able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. You take a solution‑focused approach, communicate confidently with a wide range of people and are motivated to play a key role in delivering efficient and reliable repairs services that make a real difference to residents.

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience working in a repairs, maintenance, or scheduling environment
  • Knowledge of dynamic scheduling systems and managing appointments effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with residents, colleagues, and contractors
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and manage competing demands
  • Experience monitoring performance and using data to identify and drive service improvements
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and build effective working relationships
  • Good IT skills, with experience maintaining accurate records and updating systems
  • Knowledge of local authority or social housing repairs services would be beneficial
