You will hold a varied caseload and undertake statutory social work with children subject to Child in Need and Child Protection plans, as well as public law proceedings, including pre‑proceedings, care proceedings and work with children who become Looked After. You will be responsible for completing high‑quality safeguarding assessments and plans, contributing confidently to court processes, and working closely with legal colleagues and partner agencies. This is a role that requires strong analytical skills, sound professional judgement and a clear focus on timeliness, permanence and improved outcomes for children.

About the Team

  • A minimum of 12 months’ post‑qualification experience, ideally within safeguarding, child protection or court‑related work.
  • Experience of working collaboratively as part of a team in a proactive, solution‑focused environment.
  • The ability to manage a complex caseload, prioritise effectively and work confidently under pressure.
