About the role
In this role, you will provide essential, personalised, and trauma‑informed support to individuals with histories of rough sleeping and a wide range of support needs. As a Project Worker, you will take the lead in assessing clients’ support needs and levels of risk, working closely with them to clarify goals and deliver tailored support. Drawing on your experience working in a similar support or homelessness‑related field, you will bring a confident, empathetic, and proactive approach to helping clients achieve positive outcomes. Your responsibilities will include maintaining accurate records on our case management system, liaising with external agencies, and staying up to date with housing legislation relevant to the unique challenges faced by people with lived experience of rough sleeping. You will also actively participate in team meetings, follow safeguarding procedures, and engage in ongoing self‑evaluation to support your professional development.
About the team
You will join a dedicated multidisciplinary team working across various specialist accommodation sites. The service works closely with emergency accommodation teams, the Housing Needs Team, pathway services, and a range of specialist partners providing health, immigration, and move‑on support. Collaboration, communication, and shared problem‑solving are central to how we operate. The team is committed to delivering high‑quality, empathetic, and strengths‑based support that makes a meaningful difference to people’s lives.
About you
You will bring a strong understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable or homeless individuals and a commitment to working responsively to support people in achieving their aspirations. You’ll be confident in handling challenging situations with empathy, professionalism, and clear boundaries, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider support network. Strong communication skills, good IT literacy, and the ability to work flexibly—including shifts, evenings, and weekends—are essential. Above all, you are motivated, resilient, and passionate about helping people create positive and sustainable change.
