Main duties of the job

Working closely with senior clinical andoperational leaders, contribute clinical leadership and insight to the ongoingdevelopment of the Federations strategic vision, future direction and servicedesign, ensuring that delivery meets organisational priorities and the needs ofHaringey residents.

Play a key role in the strategic leadership ofneighbourhood working across Haringey, including the Haringey NeighbourhoodIntegrated Neighbourhood Teams development, working with member practices,PCNs, the Haringey Integrator and wider partners to shape and deliverintegrated neighbourhood models of care.

Represent the GP Federation and GeneralPractice at neighbourhood, borough and West and North London level, workingwith partners to ensure that General Practice is central to the developingIntegrated Care System and neighbourhood health model.

Promote the vision, aims and values ofHaringey GP Federation.

Continue to strengthen an ethos that allour work is patient-centred, values-based, reduces health inequalities andrecognises General Practice as a core partner in integrated neighbourhood care.

Job responsibilities

Service Development Work

Support the development, mobilisationand improvement of Federation services, co-designing with management leads,clinical leads, member practices, PCNs and neighbourhood partners.

Provide clinical leadership in setting up,mobilising, running and reviewing Federation services, ensuring cleargovernance, workforce arrangements, performance measures, safe delivery andcontinuous improvement.

Contribute to the development ofclinical pathways, standard operating procedures and governance arrangements,ensuring safe, high-quality care and effective interfaces between GeneralPractice, community, mental health, acute, local authority and voluntary-sectorservices.

Support theoperational team to identify appropriate clinical leadership, governancerequirements, outcome measures and delivery plans for new and existingservices, including services delivered at neighbourhood and borough level.

ManagementResponsibilities

Provide oversight, direction andsupervision to clinicians leading specific workstreams and services. Theportfolio will be agreed with the Medical Director and CEO may includeintegrated, prevention, access, health-inequalities and neighbourhood services.

Direct andoversee clinical care using regular 1-1 meetings and annual appraisals with theclinical leads

Support andenable clinical and non-clinical staff to strengthen practice and PCNengagement, contribute to neighbourhood working and deliver change acrossorganisational boundaries.

Clinical Governance

Review andimprove policies, procedures and documents to support good clinical governance.

Provideclinical insight and support to the review of complaints, incidents, andaudits.

Support theFederation in maintaining a good CQC and work to achieve an outstanding rating

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • General Practitioner with MRCGP and in good standing with the GMC
  • Evidence of recent professional and personal development
  • Currently working 3-4 sessions in West and North London General Practice
  • Member of relevant professional body, if applicable

Experience

  • Experience of setting up, mobilising and running clinical or integrated services, including governance, workforce, performance management and service improvement
  • Experience providing clinical leadership beyond their own practice, ideally across PCN, Federation, neighbourhood or system-level services
