Contract Type: Fixed term (2 years) – Part time
Remuneration: £32-38k dependent on experience (80-95k WTE)
Hours of work: Part-time – 15 hours per week.
Responsible to: Clinically supervised by Chief Nurse, NCL ICB. Day-to-day line management provided by Executive Lead, NCL Training Hub

Main duties of the job
The Clinical Director N&AHP will oversee and directly participate in transformational work for example:
- Delivering priorities for primary care workforce development across North Central London, bringing clinical leadership and expertise to shape and deliver primary care programmes across NCL, including interpretation and implementation of National and Regional policy.
- Supporting the development of a network of clinical and professional leaders in primary care, including professional leadership and integrated working across Training Hub and GP Provider Alliance (GPPA).
- Ensuring the Training Hub is well-connected to and collaborating with system partners, including connection to Chief Nurses Network, AHP Council, ICB Clinical Leadership team.

This role is part of NCL Training Hub, hosted by Haringey GP Federation, aimed at developing our health and social care workforce in North Central London. The NCL Training Hub is a network of multidisciplinary primary care teams, community providers, and social care providers.
The NCL Training Hub enhances training, education, and workforce development with a focus on recruitment and retention of staff.
Job responsibilities
- Managing delivery and performance through regular 121s and annual appraisals, creating an environment for effective multidisciplinary team working.
- Providing clinical direction and assurance, supporting the redesign of standard approaches and pathways to transform services and improve patient outcomes.
- Engaging with NCL primary care teams, community services, mental health and social care interfaces, and other relevant clinical networks.
- Supporting NCL TH’s commitment to addressing discrimination against NHS and care staff from ethnic minority backgrounds.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- Clinical/care professional qualification educated to Masters degree level or equivalent.
- Current registration with the relevant professional body.
- Evidence of ongoing post-registration education and training.
- Leadership training/qualification, ideally in systems leadership.
Experience
- Relevant clinical/care professional experience, with the ability to lead and motivate.
- Experience of chairing complex professional meetings effectively.
- Confidence in constructively challenging information and negotiating when needed.
- Strong commitment to public sector and NHS values.
