The post holder is an experienced clinical pharmacist who acts within their professional boundaries. They will ideally be working within primary care already and this role would be in addition to their clinical responsibilities.
The post holder will provide 2 leadership and management sessions based at Haringey GP Federation head office in addition to their clinical responsibilities. The clinical pharmacist team is centrally recruited and managed on behalf of seven primary care networks in Haringey.
The post holder will have management responsibilities for Band 7 clinical pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Pre-registration pharmacy technicians and Foundation Pharmacists, to support their induction and ongoing development as well as track performance of key deliverables.
- Delivery of long term conditions strategy for practice(s) and the PCN
- Leading on our centralised approach to safety alerts, policies and training
- Providing mentorship through 1‑2‑1s for direct line reports with the aim to develop competencies and provide assurance on quality of service provision
- Ensuring appropriate direction and progress for PCN pharmacy teams on workstreams agreed with PCNs
- Contributing towards supervision and support of trainee pharmacists / foundation pharmacists
