Job Title: Locum Health Care Assistant (HCA) Enhanced Access Hubs

Service: Enhanced Access Hubs

Location: Queenswood Medical Practice / Somerset Gardens Family Health Centre / Bounds Green Group Practice / Westbury Medical Practice / Crouch Hall Road Surgery / Havergal Surgery

Reports to: Service Manager

Accountable to: Clinical Lead

Contract Type: Locum (sessional)

Main duties of the job

The Locum Health Care Assistant will deliver high-quality, patient centred care across the Enhanced Access Hubs service. The Enhanced Access Hubs provides evening and weekend primary care appointments on behalf of all Haringey GP practices ensuring patients have extended access to routine and same-day care outside of normal GP hours. Operating across multiple hub sites covering the West, Central and East neighbourhoods, the service supports a wide range of primary care activity including GP, ANP, nursing and HCA clinics.

The aim of this post is to enhance clinical capacity within the Hubs, supporting increased access to routine care, improving early identification and monitoring of long-term conditions, and ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality assessments. The postholder will contribute directly to system priorities such as early intervention, preventative health, reduction of health inequalities, and improved continuity for patients who may find it challenging to attend daytime appointments.
