Exciting opportunity to join our specialist Parenting Capacity Assessment (PCA) Team at the Maya Angelou Rising Roots Family Hub. Conduct court-directed and Public Law Outline assessments to inform case planning and support positive outcomes for children and families.
You will:
- Undertake comprehensive parenting capacity assessments (including specialist Parent Assess)
- Observe parent-child interactions, conduct interviews, and gather multi-source information
- Use a psychodynamic framework to understand family dynamics
- Work with vulnerable children, young people, and diverse communities
Join a dynamic team of 4 social workers, 2 senior practitioners, and 2 outreach workers, on a journey of development and expansion.
You need:
- Degree in Social Work + minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience
- Extensive knowledge of safeguarding thresholds, child protection, and procedures
- Strong analytical/communication skills for high-quality assessments
- Experience with adults/children across linguistically and culturally diverse groups, including disabled children/young people at times of change/loss
- Cultural competence and rigorous safeguarding practice
