Job Description

About The Role
As Sales & Engagement Manager, you will play a key role in driving income growth across our leisure centres and health & fitness services. You’ll lead on increasing membership sales, maximising retention, and delivering targeted campaigns that boost participation across gyms, classes, and wider wellbeing programmes. The role involves managing the full customer journey—from attracting new members through local outreach and partnerships, to strengthening engagement and loyalty within our existing customer base. You will use performance data, KPIs, and insight to shape activity, ensuring centres meet revenue targets while supporting healthier, more active communities.
About The Team
You’ll work within a dynamic leisure and wellbeing team, supporting centre managers and frontline staff to deliver excellent customer experiences. The role sits at the heart of operations, collaborating closely with fitness, marketing, and customer service teams to drive footfall and engagement across facilities. With a strong focus on community impact, the team is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible spaces where people of all ages and abilities can improve their health and wellbeing. You’ll also work with local partners, stakeholders, and organisations to expand reach and promote services across the community.
About You
You’ll bring experience in sales, engagement, or business development within a leisure, fitness, or customer‑focused environment. You understand how to drive membership growth, deliver against targets, and create meaningful engagement strategies that resonate with diverse communities. Confident working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven setting, you are skilled at building relationships, analysing performance data, and adapting your approach to maximise results. A passion for health, fitness, and community wellbeing is essential, along with the ability to motivate teams and influence stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
