Overview
As Targeted Support Team Manager, you lead a team delivering targeted interventions for young people and families within Early Help and Prevention. You’ll ensure high-quality safeguarding, case management, and responsive support for those facing complex challenges, including youth violence and exploitation. You’ll oversee delivery, budgets, QA, and staff development while driving service improvement through cross-sector collaboration and funding partnerships. This role shapes preventative services to improve outcomes for young people and communities.

Responsibilities
- Lead a dynamic team of youth practitioners delivering targeted interventions
- Oversee service delivery, performance, and budgets
- Ensure high-quality safeguarding and complex case management
- Drive quality assurance, staff development, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with children’s services, education, health, police and community organisations
- Identify funding opportunities and develop partnerships and commissioning for interventions
Key requirements
- Experienced manager with strong contextual safeguarding, SERIOUS YOUTH VIOLENCE and early help experience
- Proven ability to manage projects, programmes, staff, and complex case management systems
- Ability to work effectively with statutory, business and voluntary sector partners
- Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Strong people management and coaching abilities
- Highly organised, self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Degree level education or substantial relevant experience
