About the Role

We are seeking a self‐driven and enthusiastic Noise, Nuisance and Licensing Officer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the ASB, CCTV & Enforcement Manager, you will handle various nuisance complaints, including those related to noise, light, smoke and odour from both commercial and residential properties. Additionally, you will perform licensing enforcement duties, such as investigating complaints, inspecting licensed premises, taking formal enforcement action and attending committee hearings. Our team operates a day and night an out‐of‐hours service to investigate a range of complaints; you will be required to work both day and night shifts on a rotational basis.

About You

  • Solid understanding of noise, nuisance and licensing regulations.
  • Experience managing a varied caseload; previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Strong problem‐solving and analytical skills; ability to apply a range of tools and powers to resolve nuisance complaints.
  • Ability to take appropriate enforcement actions, including issuing notices and preparing legal documentation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with residents, elected members and partners.
  • Full UK driving licence.
