We are seeking an Information Sharing Officer to join the Children and Young People’s Services team, playing a key role in responding to Subject Access Requests and Freedom of Information enquiries. You will be responsible for collating, reviewing, and redacting sensitive information in line with legal and data protection requirements, ensuring accurate and compliant information is shared with the data subjects and/or requestors.
This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage confidential information, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. You will be part of a specialist Information Sharing team within Business Support and Improvement, working collaboratively to support statutory information requests across the service. The team works closely with social workers, managers, and corporate teams to ensure timely and compliant responses.
This is a supportive environment where teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to best practice are at the heart of service delivery. You are a detail-focused and organised individual with a strong understanding of data protection and information governance principles. You are confident handling sensitive and confidential information, with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong IT skills and experience using data systems are essential, along with a proactive approach and a commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality work.
