If you are intending on going for a secondment opportunity, please insure you have notified your line manager/head of service to seek approval, We're recruiting a Housing Register Team Manager to lead a high-performing team within Housing Demand.

You'll ensure the council meets its statutory duties under Part VI of the Housing Act 1996, overseeing the accurate and timely assessment of housing applications while delivering a resident-focused, "right first time" service.

You'll drive performance, manage complex casework, and lead on service improvements-working closely with internal teams, legal services and external partners to enhance outcomes, reduce complaints, and continuously improve service delivery., You'll lead a dedicated Housing Register team responsible for assessing applications, maintaining data quality, and supporting residents through the allocations process.

The service is fast-paced, collaborative and focused on delivering fair and transparent access to housing.

As Team Manager, you'll coach and develop staff, embed strong performance management, and build effective partnerships across the council-creating a culture of accountability, innovation and continuous improvement.

You're an experienced housing professional with strong technical knowledge of housing legislation, allocations and case law, and a proven track record of managing complex casework and making sound decisions.

You bring experience leading and motivating teams, with strong performance management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

You're confident influencing, negotiating and building partnerships, while maintaining high standards of compliance and service delivery.

Organised and proactive, you can manage projects, analyse performance, and implement service improvements that enhance customer experience and deliver value for money in a challenging and fast-paced environment.
