About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Concierge Officer to provide a welcoming and secure reception service for residents and visitors. You’ll act as the main point of contact, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the building, including monitoring access, managing visitor entry, and maintaining the safety and cleanliness of communal areas. The role also involves responding to emergencies, logging repairs, supporting residents with queries, and liaising with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
About the Team
You’ll be part of the Estates and Neighbourhoods service within Housing and Building Safety, working closely with the Concierge Manager and Housing teams. The team is committed to creating safe, well‑maintained, and inclusive communities for residents. Collaboration is key, and you’ll frequently interact with colleagues, residents, contractors, and external agencies to deliver a high‑quality housing service and ensure residents feel supported and secure in their homes.
About You
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping people.
- Experience working with the public—ideally in a reception, housing, or security environment.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to work independently, often during shift or unsocial hours.
- Comfortable using IT systems, handling a varied workload, and dealing calmly with challenging situations, including emergencies or anti‑social behaviour.
- A commitment to equality, excellent customer service, and community wellbeing.
