We are looking to appoint an inspiring and creative teacher of art to work across Haringey Learning Partnership. This is a role for someone who understands the power of creativity to engage, to build confidence and to open up new possibilities for young people. The arts provide a vital space for our students to express identity, tell their stories and experience success. We are looking for an art teacher who will play a key role in shaping and delivering a curriculum that is ambitious, inclusive and rooted in creativity. You will teach art across KS3 and KS4, including GCSE art, and support students to build both technical skills and confidence in their own voice as artists. This is an opportunity to design a curriculum that is responsive to our students, celebrates diverse artists and cultures, and challenges narrow ideas about who art is for.

Relational practice is at the heart of our work. Many of our young people have experienced disruption in education, and strong, trusting relationships are the foundation for re-engagement and success. We are looking for someone who takes the time to understand each young person, who is consistent, patient and emotionally intelligent, and who can use creativity as a way to build connection as well as skill.

This is an exciting role for someone who believes in the transformative power of creativity. At HLP, art is about much more than outcomes; it is about re-engaging students with learning, building confidence and helping young people see themselves differently. Whether in classrooms or working 1:1 in the community, you will help remove barriers and create meaningful opportunities for students to succeed.

We are looking for a teacher who is committed to improving outcomes for marginalised young people and who shares our values around inclusion, social justice and anti-racist practice. You will need flexibility, creativity and strong classroom practice, particularly in supporting students with SEND and those with significant gaps in their education. Most importantly, you will believe in our young people and the importance of providing education that sees and values them.

We work across Key Stages 3 and 4 and deliver education both in school settings and in the community. We are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. A Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate will be required for all posts. This post will be subject to enhanced checks as part of our Prevent Duty.
