As the Warehouse Shift Coordinator you will ensure organisation of staffing schedules, leading a team of 4-8 Warehouse Operatives to ensure that day to day activities meet required targets on time and in full. This will be a working role leading by example. Reporting directly to the Deputy Warehouse Manager and taking on overall responsibility when the DWM is absent.
Responsibilities
- Health & Safety inc Housekeeping
- Maintain safe working practices and environment.
- Assisting with Investigation reports
- Understand warehouse compliance regulations
- Communication relating to H&S to immediate team
- Stock control, material flow and fleet management
- Monitor and communicate reports to immediate team
- Safe, accurate and effective storage of goods
- Oversee team performance and fleet utilisation
- Daily Control of goods in / out process
- Team organisation and development
- Identify and report training requirements
- Ensure communication flow throughout the team
- Out of hoursβ co-ordination of the team
- Identify and report improvement opportunities
- Deputise for the DWM when required
Required knowledge, skills and experience
- Demonstrable experience in a medium to large fast moving consumer goods manufacturing company
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience of working to achieve multiple deadlines
- IOSH qualification
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong ability to build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and at all levels internally and externally
- Experience of using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Current, valid counterbalance and reach FLT licence
- Experience of COSHH and control measures associated with this
- Knowledge and understanding of KPI tracking and reporting
