The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 Β£ per year.
Shift pattern 42 per week, worked on a rotating dayshift pattern of:
- Week 1: Monday to Thursday from 5.30am to 2.00pm and on Fridays from 6.00am to 2.00pm;
- Week 2: Monday to Thursday from 1.30pm to 10.00pm and on Fridays from 2.00pm to 10.00pm; then repeat the pattern.
Holidays: 28 per annum inclusive of Bank Holidays.
This role will be responsible for promptly addressing equipment breakdowns and failures, ensuring minimal disruption to production processes. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repairing machinery, as well as maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Main Responsibilities
- Quickly responding to equipment breakdowns and failures, diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs to restore functionality.
- Utilising technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify the root cause of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
- Conducting repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Identifying recurring issues and recommending preventive measures to reduce the likelihood of future breakdowns.
- Maintaining detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and maintenance efficiency.
Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- PLC, robotic automation and rewinding experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and deal with multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and tools.
- Hold a formal engineering qualification at level 3 or above in either an electrical or mechanical discipline, or equivalent qualification.
- Hold a current FLT/MEWP licence.
