The primary role of a Maintenance Excellence / CI Lead is to drive the Maintenance approach through Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). It is a system of maintaining and improving the integrity of production and quality systems through the machines, equipment, process and employees that add business value. TPM focuses on keeping all equipment in top working condition to avoid breakdowns and delays in manufacturing processes. The Maintenance Excellence and CI Lead will deliver cost effective asset care through the implementation of maintenance excellence.

Main Purpose Of The Job:

  • Implement and effectively establish key engineering processes in line with Engineering Road Map.
  • Actively seek to deliver the most cost-effective maintenance program to meet the site demands for safety, quality and performance.
  • Plan, improve and execute maintenance of site equipment to improve reliability.
  • Having in-depth knowledge and proven track record of developing and implementing PPM’s, CMMS’s systems, Maintenance best practice (SPIDEX / Mainsaver).
  • Help drive the people agenda and focus on talent pipeline, developing individuals to have the right competencies and behaviours within the department.
  • Support implementation of smart factory software, to help drive reliability and OEE.
  • Lead, coach and guide to ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with company and statutory requirements.
  • Promote a ‘top loss’ analysis culture.
  • Facilitate annual Criticality Matrix reviews.
  • Drive implementation of the Inventory Management Plan.
  • Help in development of SOP’s.
  • Drive utilization of root cause analysis / Problem Solving techniques RCA, 5Y, DMAIC.
  • Ensure the department adopts a genuine continuous improvement mindset.
  • Support department 5’s plan.
  • Drive and support reliability centred maintenance FMECA Activities.
  • Undertake analysis of CMMS’s data to assist forward planning and opportunities for equipment improvements.

Skills:

  • Experience working with contractors, suppliers, and technical staff to troubleshoot and eliminate root cause issues of nonconformities.
  • Experience planning engineering requirements and activities by establishing priorities, scheduling, assigning work and communicating with area staff and key stakeholders frequently and regularly within timelines.
  • Having in-depth knowledge and experience with the T.P.M programme, Mainsaver PM knowledge and Office 365 skills.

Qualifications:

  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or ONC / HNC or equivalent in either Mechanical or electrical disciplines or Degree trained.
  • If none of the above, minimum level 3 C.
