Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm Job Type: Full-time Location: Wednesfield Salary: £14 About the Role We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our stores, ensuring stock is handled safely and efficiently, inventory is kept accurate, and customer orders are picked and packed correctly and ready for dispatch. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy warehouse or stores environment, takes pride in keeping things organised, and can work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities * Operating both Reach and Counterbalance Forklifts to move and handle stock safely. * Loading and unloading deliveries and vehicles. * Breaking down incoming deliveries and checking stock against delivery notes. * Putting stock away in the correct locations and maintaining an organised stores area. * Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch. * Carrying out inventory control and maintaining accurate stock records. * Conducting stock checks and assisting with regular stock takes. * Reporting stock discrepancies, damaged goods and any delivery issues. * Ensuring all goods are handled, stored and dispatched safely and efficiently. * Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment. * Supporting the wider warehouse and stores team with general duties as required. About You The ideal candidate will have: * Valid reach and counterbalance forklift truck licences. * Previous experience working in a warehouse, stores or stock control environment. * Good attention to detail and an organised approach to work. * Experience with stock management, inventory control and stock checking. * The ability to pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently. * A good level of physical fitness for a hands-on role. * A reliable, punctual and positive attitude. * The ability to work well as part of a team and manage tasks independently. * A strong commitment to health and safety procedures. Working Hours Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, offering a consistent weekday working schedule.
