We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join a busy and expanding manufacturing and distribution company in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machinery experience who is looking for a stable, long-term role.
Location: Wolverhampton
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Contract: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)
Shift Pattern:
- Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
- Flexibility required as shifts may potentially change to Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 16:30.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate various machinery, including punch presses, manual equipment, and bending tools
- Cut materials to specified lengths using saws
- Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
- Perform basic machining tasks, including measurements and calculations
- Pack and prepare finished products for dispatch
- Assist with general labour and warehouse duties
- Undertake manual handling and heavy lifting as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating industrial machinery
- Ability to confidently read and follow engineering drawings
- Strong practical skills and ability to work independently
- Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding tasks
- Availability to work fixed day shifts
