We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join a busy and expanding manufacturing and distribution company in Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with machinery experience who is looking for a stable, long-term role.

Location: Wolverhampton

Pay: £12.21 per hour

Contract: Temp-to-Perm (12 weeks)

Shift Pattern:

  • Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 16:30
  • Friday: 07:30 – 13:30
  • Flexibility required as shifts may potentially change to Monday – Thursday: 06:00 – 16:30.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate various machinery, including punch presses, manual equipment, and bending tools
  • Cut materials to specified lengths using saws
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
  • Perform basic machining tasks, including measurements and calculations
  • Pack and prepare finished products for dispatch
  • Assist with general labour and warehouse duties
  • Undertake manual handling and heavy lifting as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating industrial machinery
  • Ability to confidently read and follow engineering drawings
  • Strong practical skills and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding tasks
  • Availability to work fixed day shifts
