Cleaning Operative / FLT Counterbalance Driver Location: Ashford Pay: £14.66 per hour Hours: 37.5 hours per week Contract: Temporary initially, with the opportunity to become permanent Vacancies: 3 We’re currently recruiting for Cleaning Operatives / FLT Counterbalance Drivers to join a busy site in Ashford. This is a hands-on role combining cleaning duties with Counterbalance FLT driving, offering ongoing work with the potential to move into a permanent position. The role You’ll be responsible for helping to maintain a clean, safe and well-organised working environment, alongside carrying out FLT Counterbalance duties as required. The role is initially temporary, with the opportunity to transfer into a permanent position after 12 weeks for the right person. Shift Pattern This is a rotating shift pattern, working: * 2 weeks: 6:00am – 2:00pm * 2 weeks: 2:00pm – 10:00pm * 2 weeks: 10:00pm – 6:00am The night shift runs Monday to Thursday only, but you will be paid for a full 37.5-hour week. The shift pattern then rotates back to the early shift. What we're looking for * Valid Counterbalance FLT licence * Previous experience operating a Counterbalance FLT * Experience working in a cleaning, warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment * Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights * Reliable and punctual * Good understanding of health and safety * Able to work independently and as part of a team * A practical, hands-on approach to work What's on offer? * £14.66 per hour * 37.5 hours paid per week * Night shift: Monday–Thursday, 10pm–6am, with a full week paid * Rotating 2-week shift pattern * Temporary-to-permanent opportunity * Permanent position available after 12 weeks for the right candidate * Ongoing work with an established organisation If you're an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver who is happy combining FLT work with cleaning duties and working a rotating shift pattern, we'd like to hear from you
