Business Development Manager Location: Dudley, UK (UK-Wide Travel) Salary:£44,000 per annum + Company Car & Phone Contract: Permanent | Full-time Benefits: * Company car and phone * 20 days holiday (rising to 25 after 3 years) + bank/public holidays Working Hours: * Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm * Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Flexibility required based on appointments) About the Role: Are you a results-driven sales professional with experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry? Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new sales opportunities and expand their customer base. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established company, offering the flexibility to manage your own diary, identify new business opportunities, and build long-term client relationships across the UK. Key Responsibilities: * Identify and develop new business opportunities within the manufacturing and engineering sectors. * Target new customers and nurture long-term client relationships. * Independently manage appointments, client meetings, and travel schedules. * Communicate effectively with businesses of all sizes, from SMEs to large corporate clients. * Provide detailed reports following client visits. * Work closely with the Director to drive sales growth and strategy. What We’re Looking For: * Proven experience in B2B sales within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors. * A strong track record of winning new business and managing client relationships. * Knowledge of the steel industry (preferred but not essential). * Ability to understand technical requirements (desirable but not essential). * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. * Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently. * IT literate with strong reporting and organisational skills. * A full, clean UK driving licence (essential).
