An opportunity has arisen for a QC Operative to join a busy Quality department. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring products and materials meet required quality standards while complying with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Good Distribution Practice (GDP), and company procedures.
This role requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, and the ability to work efficiently in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and review incoming deliveries to ensure consignments are received in acceptable condition, free from damage or tampering, and supplied by approved suppliers.
- Verify that shipments have been transported under appropriate environmental conditions by approved transport providers.
- Process temperature-sensitive or controlled stock promptly and transfer to the correct storage location.
- Upload and maintain all relevant delivery documentation on internal systems.
- Perform identity checks on raw materials and report discrepancies against specifications.
- Accurately record all quality control checks and documentation.
- Carry out authenticity checks on specific sourced consignments where required.
- Conduct sample inspections of pre-printed packaging materials.
- Perform in-process quality checks during production.
- Inspect produced components and record outcomes within the appropriate documentation.
- Compare materials or products against defined specifications and quality standards.
- Approve or reject components, packaging materials, and finished products based on inspection results.
- Carry out final checks on reference samples representing production batches.
- Review batch production records (BPRs) to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure all required documentation is present and correctly completed.
- Report any errors, discrepancies, or quality concerns promptly.
- Support ad-hoc quality tasks as required.
- Work additional hours when necessary to meet operational needs.
- Report any issues or concerns to the QC Team Leader or Senior QC Operative.
- Ensure full compliance with GxP standards and company policies.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Good organisational and documentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in a quality control or manufacturing, is desirable but not essential.
