We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence to join a busy and growing manufacturing business in Wolverhampton.

This is a predominantly warehouse-based role where the majority of your time will be spent packing, labelling, palletising and banding finished products ready for dispatch. Counterbalance FLT duties will account for approximately 10% of the role and will mainly involve loading/unloading trailers and moving stock around the site.

This opportunity would suit a reliable and hardworking individual who enjoys a varied, hands-on warehouse role within a fast-paced environment.

Shift Pattern

• Friday, Saturday & Sunday
• 06:00am – 06:00pm

Paid for 36 hours per week at £15.25 per hour.

Contract

• 12-week temp-to-perm opportunity
• Pay increase following successful completion of the temporary period

Key Responsibilities

• Packing finished products ready for dispatch
• Labelling products accurately and efficiently
• Palletising goods and preparing orders for shipment
• Banding and securing pallets to company standards
• Loading and unloading trailers safely and efficiently
• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck when required (approximately 10% of the role)
• Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse and production areas
• Assisting with goods-in and goods-out activities
• Conducting general warehouse housekeeping duties
• Adhering to all health and safety procedures
• Manual handling and lifting as required

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
• Previous warehouse experience within a manufacturing, logistics or distribution environment
• Experience loading and unloading vehicles/trailers
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling and physically demanding duties
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
