Salary: £15.50 - £16.37 per hour
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 4:30pm

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced MIG/TIG Welder on behalf of our well-established client, a leading UK manufacturer specialising in sheet metal fabrication and stainless steel product design.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder looking to join a professional manufacturing environment offering long-term employment prospects following a successful 12-week temporary period.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard
- Weld a variety of fabricated components in line with drawings and specifications
- Work predominantly with sheet metal and stainless steel components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication drawings
- Prepare materials and components prior to welding
- Carry out basic fabrication, fitting and finishing duties where required
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet required quality and dimensional standards
- Use hand tools, power tools and relevant welding equipment safely
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Work closely with the wider production team to achieve quality and production targets
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience working as a MIG/TIG Welder, Fabricator Welder or Production Welder
- Strong MIG and/or TIG welding skills
- Experience working within a fabrication, engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience welding stainless steel and sheet metal would be advantageous
- The ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail and a strong focus on weld quality
- Previous coded welding experience or current/previous welding codings would be highly advantageous
- A reliable, hardworking and positive approach to work
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
