We are on the hunt for a Packing Engineer to come and join our alternating Engineering team based out of our Pontefract site. Within this role you will report into one of our Shift Supervisors and will work as part of our fantastic wider Engineering team. To enable HARIBO sugary success, within this role you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth running of our operations via the mechanical installation and maintenance of all machinery and services required within the Packing department.
How you'll contribute to the mix:
- Preparing machines to operate at optimum efficiency
- Attending machine breakdowns and carrying out maintenance as required; including preventative maintenance
- Carrying out bench fitting and installation of new machinery
- Following set procedures for permit to work, job recording, firm alarm muting, health and safety and hygiene set systems of work
- Maintaining all machinery and ensuring all activities are carried out in line with the standards expected in the food industry
- Carrying out project and commissioning work
