We are on the hunt for an ‘Electrical Engineer’ to come and join our nights Engineering team based out of our Castleford site.
Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor on a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for providing electrical maintenance services to all machinery and equipment used for the production and packing of sugar confectionery and the installation and commissioning of production and packing machinery to the appropriate electrical standards within the food environment.
You will have key relationships with other departments including but not limited to Production, Packing, HSE, Technical Services and Engineering.
Hours of work: 41 hours
How you’ll contribute to the mix:
- Completing jobs in line with the preventative maintenance schedule
- Responding quickly and effectively to all breakdowns
- Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with the standards expected in the food industry
- Carrying out project and commissioning work as requested
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with any Permit to Works, job recording, fire alarm muting, Health & Safety and Hygiene set system of work
Do you have the right ingredients?
- Electrical Apprenticeship is essential
- Extensive PLC experience
- Installation and commissioning experience is essential
- Qualified in IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition
- Manufacturing background is preferred
- Practical problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Good IT skills
