We are on the hunt for an experienced VP of Supply Chain to join our HARBIO UK Leadership team. To develop and execute the UK & Ireland Supply Chain strategy, ensuring HARIBO delivers exceptional customer service whilst optimising cost, inventory, productivity and operational resilience.

The Vice President Supply Chain is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply chain including Demand Planning, Procurement, S&OP, Customer Supply Chain, Logistics, Master Data, Import and Export compliance and Supply Chain Excellence.

Working as a member of the UK Leadership Team, the role will partner closely with Commercial, Operations, Finance and Global Supply Chain to ensure the organisation is equipped to deliver ambitious growth plans whilst maintaining outstanding service to customers.

The role is accountable for transforming the supply chain through continuous improvement, digital capability, strategic partnerships and high-performing teams, creating a resilient, agile and customer-focused operation.

As VP of Supply Chain, you will also cover the following areas:

  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Own the end-to-end Integrated Business Planning (IBP/S&OP) process. Ensure robust demand planning processes deliver optimal inventory and customer service. Work closely with supply planning and operational teams to ensure supply and demand signals are optimal. Drive cross-functional decision making through effective governance. Balance service, inventory and cost performance.
  • Customer Supply Chain: Deliver industry-leading customer service performance. Improve OTIF performance across all customers. Strengthen strategic retailer relationships through collaborative planning. Develop supply chain capability to become a competitive advantage.
  • Logistics & Warehousing: Lead all logistics and warehousing operations. Optimise transport networks and warehouse efficiency. Develop strategic partnerships with 3PL providers. Deliver sustainable logistics solutions. Improve service whilst reducing operating costs.
  • Supply Chain Transformation: Lead major transformation programmes across supply chain. Drive digitalisation through SAP and planning technologies. Introduce automation, data analytics and continuous improvement methodologies. Identify opportunities to simplify processes and remove waste.
  • Financial Performance: Own the Supply Chain budget. Deliver annual productivity and cost-saving targets. Optimise working capital through inventory management. Improve warehouse, transport and planning efficiency.
  • Procurement: Work with business stakeholders on all aspects of indirect procurement to ensure Haribo procure in a cost-effective manner whilst adhering to the Haribo Global Procurement policy and all required ethical standards.
  • Compliance: Ensure all import and export processes are compliant to the required legislation. Work closely with all customs partners to facilitate cross-border movements. Work with the cross functional team on packaging legislation such as EPR and PPWR.
  • Risk Management: Develop business continuity and supply resilience plans. Identify and mitigate operational risks. Ensure robust supplier contingency planning. Lead crisis response where required.
  • Sustainability: Support delivery of the HARIBO ESG strategy. Reduce transport emissions. Improve warehouse sustainability. Reduce waste across the supply chain. Embed sustainable decision making across operations.
  • People Leadership: Build and develop a high-performing Supply Chain function. Create succession plans for all critical roles. Coach and develop senior leaders. Foster an engaged, inclusive and accountable culture. Champion wellbeing, collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive Lean principles across Supply Chain. Champion operational excellence. Introduce KPI dashboards and performance reviews. Benchmark against FMCG best practice.

The VP of Supply Chain will own, develop and deliver the UK & Ireland Supply Chain Strategy aligned to HARIBO’s growth objectives. They will create a resilient, agile and scalable supply chain capable of supporting future commercial and production ambitions.

Leading long-term capacity planning across operations warehousing and distribution, ensuring supply chain capability supports innovation, NPD and customer growth. The VP of Supply Chain will act as a trusted member of the UK Leadership Team, influencing strategic decision making across HARIBO UK. They will represent the HARIBO UK within Global Supply Chain forums.

Experience Essential: Significant senior leadership experience within supply chain, manufacturing, logistics or FMCG environments. Demonstrable experience delivering operational transformation, productivity improvement and large-scale organisational change. Experience operating at Executive or Director level. Ownership of S&OP. Track record of developing leadership capability, building high-performing teams and driving employee engagement across large organisations. Third-party logistics management.

Desirable: Food or Confectionery manufacturing. SAP implementation or optimisation. International supply chain exposure. Experience within branded consumer goods. Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or Operations Management.
