Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in the overall running of the kitchen
- Run shifts independently when the Executive Chef is not on site
- Lead the team during service and maintain control under pressure
- Deliver consistent, high-quality food at volume across a demanding menu
- Manage prep, organisation, and service flow
- Support GP control and reduce waste
- Set standards and hold the team accountable
- Ensure hygiene, compliance, and structure at all times
Qualifications
- Experienced as a Sous Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment
- Confident leading a team and running a shift independently
- Calm, clear, and in control under pressure
- Strong communicator who sets the tone during service
- Owner of consistency and care about standards
- Knowledgeable on food safety and hygiene (Level 2 minimum)
- Available for evenings, weekends, and peak periods
Preferred
- Experience working within an Asian BBQ, grill, or similar cuisine-led kitchen
- Technology-first approach to kitchen management and stock systems
- Experience managing and developing junior kitchen team members
- Passion for delivering high-quality food consistently across a busy service
- Competent level of English, both spoken and written
- Comfortable being on camera (participation in social media promotion)
