HOUR OF WORK: full-time Mon – Fri, permanent position

A vacancy has arisen for a Transport Planner to join our team within our contract at Killingholme.
The role briefly encompasses the following:
- Ensure efficient client service is maintained
- Organise own fleet and subcontractors
- Ensure compliance with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
- Look at ways to continually improve service.
- Identify and develop new opportunities
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Supervisory skills
- Positive attitude to safety
- Reactive and proactive in service / operations to ensure no disruption.
- Flexible approach to work
- A strong team player who leads by example
- Ability to work independently and on own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Good knowledge of the Road Transport Industry and UK road network
- Ability to use computerised vehicle planning schedules
- Able to work within a small established team
- Ideally possess a IOSH Managing Safety Certificate
- Ideally possess a Certificate of Professional Competence (although not essential)
- Previous experience of working in a transport office environment (although not essential as full training will be given)
