A vacancy has arisen for a FEL Operator to join our team within our new Operations and cleaning of a Biomass handling & storage facility contract at the Port of Tyne.
The FEL Operator role exists to move Biomass material on site. Hours of work will depend on vessel schedules.
Hargreaves Industrial Services provides operations and cleaning services to our client at the Port of Tyne Biomass handling facility. We are responsible for the safe movements and handling of Biomass following vessel discharge and the dispatch of loaded rail wagons within the Port.
Responsibilities include:
- Loading Biomass into loading hoppers for the rail loading facility
- Loading Biomass into road lorries
- Secondary loading/movements within the Port boundary
- Supporting movements within the main Biomass store
- Stock management using push-up blades
- Separating different types of materials
- Completing relevant paperwork for operations and material movements
- Maintaining plant and equipment in safe and clean condition
- Understanding of Safe Working Procedures
- Attending meetings or training sessions as required
- Supporting secondary roles such as wagon driving, train loading, and material monitoring (training provided)
Candidate requirements:
- Recognised FEL licence (internal site licence/CPCS/NPORβs etc.)
- IOSHH working safely certification (training provided)
- Experience in materials handling environments
- Experience in Biomass handling (desirable)
- COMPEX training (desirable, training available)
