A vacancy has arisen for an Electrician to join our team within our contract to provide support to the Daldowie fuel plant. The role is responsible for the effective examination, testing, installation and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment in accordance with site and health and safety procedures.
Hargreaves Industrial Services have a contract with Drax power to carry out support services to the main operational & maintenance activities at Daldowie Fuel Plant. These activities include plant maintenance, tanker services, general cleaning, labouring & housekeeping duties.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties:
- Ensuring Job cards are suitable for the work to be carried out under the Work Order Card and associated Risk Assessment and Method Statement (undertake electrical isolations as required).
- Carry out inspection & minor maintenance on site equipment.
- Liaise daily with the Electrical supervisor/Management team.
- Raising and closing out of all defects.
- Carry out maintenance and repairs on all Electrical Equipment.
- Carry out Planned Maintenance as per Operation Manual Schedules.
- P.A.T. Testing of portable appliances.
- Ability to carry out fault finding of electrical systems.
- Continually look for ways to improve service.
- Communication with Electrical Supervisor/Management team regarding any incidents.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/attributes:
- Served Apprenticeship/Equivalent and a minimum of 2 years' experience working on Electrical equipment.
- Understanding of 18th edition of electrical installations regulations.
- Experience of fault diagnostics & repair solutions.
- Understanding of Plant systems.
