The Opportunity:
We are seeking a technically strong and commercially aware Group Management Accountant to join our UK Head Office. This is a pivotal role within the Group Finance function, responsible for delivering accurate monthly management accounts, supporting group-wide consolidation, and contributing to statutory reporting and compliance.
The post holder will be fully responsible for the monthly management accounting of the UK head office companies. They will also be involved in managing the Group management accounts consolidation on a monthly basis and in the preparation of the year-end statutory accounts. The role also supports the Group Finance team in the accurate provision of financial information to the Board and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit monthly management accounts for UK head office entities.
- Lead the monthly consolidation of Group management accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
- Support the production of the Group Annual and Interim Reports.
- Prepare subsidiary financial statements in line with UK accounting standards.
- Manage the Group’s quarterly VAT return and ensure ongoing tax compliance.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems to support reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting, particularly at the corporate level.
- Collaborate with divisional finance teams and provide financial support to business units.
- Act as a key liaison for auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial records across multiple entities.
What We’re Looking For:
- ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP, with experience in statutory reporting.
- Background in practice (audit or advisory) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage complex financial reporting across multiple entities.
- Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging across all levels of the business.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
- Experience in group consolidations and multi-entity environments.
- Sound understanding of UK tax regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proactive, results-driven mindset with a strong sense of ownership.
