About the role

As Video Content Creator at Hargreaves Lansdown (HL), you will be responsible for producing engaging video content that aligns with brand objectives and resonates with the target audience.

Hargreaves Lansdown is undergoing major transformation and Marketing is central to that change. We\’re evolving fast, with a sharp focus on content, brand, product marketing, performance, CRM, and website and CRO.

We’re building a joined-up, insight-driven marketing function that delivers measurable impact from powerful brand storytelling and high-converting content to optimised digital journeys and data-led performance.

We’re raising the bar, streamlining how we work, and unlocking new opportunities to grow, engage and convert, setting a new standard for marketing at HL.

You will support all stages of media production on set, in-studio, and in post-production, handling logistical, administrative, and technical tasks to ensure smooth project operations and timely, high-quality deliverables.

What you’ll be doing

Video Production

  • Creating high-quality video content from conception to completion, including brainstorming ideas, writing scripts, and developing storyboards
  • Filming and Editing: Operating cameras and other equipment to capture video and audio and edit raw footage into polished final products using video editing software.
  • Supporting creation of basic graphics, titles, and motion assets (e.g. After Effects, Premiere templates).

Creative Development

  • Social creative vision – crafting digital Narratives and building engaged communities
  • Conceiving, designing, and producing platform led content, including videos, reels, stories, carousels, tailored to each platform’s unique audience and algorithmic requirements.
  • Assisting with marketing campaign concept development, storyboarding, location support, and production scheduling

Project Management

  • Monitoring and analysing video performance metrics to optimise future content and improve audience engagement.

Studio Operations

  • Assisting with lighting, camera, audio gear setup, props, and equipment breakdown.
  • Organising digital assets, backup files, maintaining production databases, and liaising with vendors.
  • Managing production paperwork including release forms, contracts, NDAs, metadata tagging, and archiving.

Quality Assurance

  • Staying updated with industry trends and best practices in video content creation to ensure content remains relevant and effective.

Collaboration

  • Working closely with key stakeholders including marketing teams, motion designers, and social media managers to ensure video content aligns with overall marketing strategies and brand messaging.

About you

  • Proven experience in video production, including filming, lighting, sound, and editing.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After FX).
  • Strong storytelling and script writing abilities.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in financial services or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with studio equipment and multi-camera setups.
  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive content creation.
  • Creative and detail oriented.
  • Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Strong communicator with a client-focused mindset.
  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, impactful content.
  • AI – Production workflow experience.
  • Strong creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for video content.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Working schedule

This role is based in our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) and we offer a hybrid working pattern, with a minimum of two days in the office per week.
