About the Role
We have an opportunity for a technical IT professional to join our team as an IT Senior Auditor. You might currently be working in 1st line IT and are seeking that next step to diversify your skillset and learn auditing skills, or already be working in IT related assurance and/or consultancy services and looking for new challenges. The focus for this role is a broad level of experience with IT technical controls, such as Security and Resilience, across a range of applications and infrastructure. As a Senior IT Auditor, you will directly add value and impact not only in supporting the business in implementing and maintaining a strong technical risk and IT control environment, but also with respect to our large and exciting digital transformation activity which will redefine wealth management. Under the direction of an IT Audit Manager and Head of Audit for Digital, you'll be responsible for undertaking credible and highly respected IT internal audit engagements. This includes ensuring all audit work is performed to a high standard, managing relationships with stakeholders, and providing assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management.
What you'll be doing
- Work with an IT Audit Manager and/or the Head of Audit to support the delivery of high quality assurance work.
- Use technical security and resilience risk and control experience to undertake comprehensive testing which underpins the audit opinion.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Proactively feed relevant external insights as well as data led thinking into audit delivery.
- Work on your own initiative as well as lead/be part of small teams that may include third party auditors.
- Lean on experience to help feed into the audit planning process, be supportive of others in the team and keep in mind when/how/if improvements in methodology and general ways of working could be made.
About you
- Experienced in Technical Security and Resilience IT controls as well as IT transformation/change.
- Demonstrate adaptability and pragmatic thinking to allow both detailed and big picture views to emerge.
- Functional working knowledge of data analytics, with a keen interest in supporting the team in building out data capability.
- Possess an analytical approach to problem solving.
- A collaborator and effective communicator, able to present complex ideas simply.
- Proficient at forging relationships at all levels.
- Demonstrable influencing and negotiating skills, able to manage challenging conversations.
- Astute attention to detail.
- Confident with agile ways of working.
- Operate with a global mindset, able to follow client/product journeys.
- CISA, other relevant qualifications such as CRISC/CISSP.
Interview process
This will be a two-stage interview process, including competency-based questions and a presentation.
Working Schedule
The role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we can offer some flexibility to allow hybrid working with 2 days a week in the office.
