About the role
This is an exciting new opportunity to join Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) as a Partnerships Manager for our Savings business. This role will specialise in the management of our banking partnerships, whose products are offered through HL\βs Active Savings service. We are looking for someone commercial, with knowledge of the workings of the banking industry to join our high performing Partnerships team.
As Partnerships Manager at HL, you will be accountable for negotiating the revenue received from our banking partners and ensuring the interest rates offered to our clients are competitive, while also making sure appropriate due diligence and risk management strategies are in place. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, innovative team and play a key role in the future direction of the business.
What you\βll be doing
- Delivering the range of products and banking partners offered to HL clients who are using our Active Savings product, in line with the requirements set by our Head of Savings
- Negotiating the revenue HL derive from our banking partner\βs products
- Negotiating competitive interest rates for clients to receive from partners\β products, ensuring we offer products from banking partners whose brand and reputation enhance HL\βs reputation
- Ensuring the pipeline of banks and new products provides enough capacity to meet client demand, from new business to the platform and as existing products mature
- Ensuring processes are continuously being improved in an iterative fashion, using both the development resources of the product team, and working with partners to improve processes that cross between businesses
- Leading the onboarding process for new partners including commercial negotiations, contract negotiations, due diligence, establishing SLAs and KPIs, and agreeing operational processes
- Agreeing appropriate risk management and due diligence standards for partners to comply with, with stakeholders from across the HL group, including CASS, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit
About you
To succeed as Partnerships Manager at HL you will be:
- An accomplished negotiator, able to foster and leverage relationships with gravitas
- An efficient and articulate communicator, able to present complex information in a simple, yet engaging manner
- Accomplished at partnering with stakeholders at all levels, including clients and corporate third parties
- An expert in the banking and savings markets, with an understanding of our key regulatory and legal requirements, competitive positioning, and the strengths and weaknesses of our partners
- Comfortable processing large sets of data
- In contact with a wide network of senior stakeholders within the banking industry
- Able to work collaboratively, with a sense of accountability and ownership
- Solution-focused and confident when managing conflict, internal and external
- Able to work under pressure to deliver to deadlines, with a team or individually
- Able to demonstrate and embody the HL values, always considering HL\βs strategy
The interview process for this role will be two-stage, including a presentation.
This is a full time, permanent role working 37.5 hours per week. Location is flexible, some travel to our Bristol head office (BS1 5HL) will be required.
