About the role

The Head of Product Marketing will lead the strategic development, execution, and optimisation of product marketing initiatives for products and lines of business at Hargreaves Lansdown. This role involves driving the go-to-market strategy for new products, shaping product positioning and messaging, and ensuring successful product launches. The Product Marketing team will play a key role in bridging the gap between the marketing department and business units. This role ensures that marketing strategies and initiatives align with the organization’s objectives, drive business growth, and enhance customer engagement. The role will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, prioritise marketing initiatives, and measure performance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Partner with business leaders and key stakeholders to develop marketing strategies aligned with overall business goals, that drive revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Understand business challenges, opportunities, and customer needs to create targeted marketing solutions.
  • Lead the development and execution of marketing campaigns tailored to specific business units or product lines.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials and messaging that resonate with target audiences and reflect the brand’s values.
  • Provide marketing insights and guidance to sales teams to enhance lead generation and sales conversion.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer behaviour to identify opportunities and risks.
  • Regularly report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as lead generation, conversion rates, customer acquisition, and brand awareness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders and key stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on all marketing matters, providing expert recommendations and insights.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication between product marketing teams and wider teams and stakeholders within the business.
  • Lead a team of data-driven and results focused individuals, providing clear strategic direction on key business objectives and client outcomes.

About you

  • Demonstrable marketing experience, in a leadership position, with a focus on strategic partnership, business alignment and campaign execution.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing marketing strategies that drive business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and data analytics.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems, marketing automation tools, and data-driven marketing.
  • Previous experience in Financial Services is required.

Interview process

The selection process will incorporate competency-based questions including an assessment of your knowledge and transferable skills. For candidates who progress to the next stage, there will be a presentation or assessment to prepare and an online psychometric assessment.

Working schedule

This role is based in our Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This is a permanent full-time role, Monday to Friday. For this role we offer a hybrid working pattern of working in the office and at home.
