About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hargreaves Lansdown as a Senior Product Manager. You will be focused on our 'Begin Retirement' product domain to create innovative solutions, continuously improve our service for our clients and deliver value to the business. The Senior Product Manager must have extensive knowledge of the retirement experience including: the client need, regulation, commercials, competition and have a demonstrated experience delivering excellent digital journeys.
What you'll be doing:
- Take ownership of the 'Begin Retirement' product domain and the client and commercial value it delivers, working closely with Engineering Manager and team to develop market leading experiences.
- Take ownership of vision, strategy and roadmap for the product domain and supporting with wider Retirement product strategy.
- Share and embed excellent product ways of working, sharing with the wider team and mentoring more junior members.
- Run effective discovery with the team to uncover opportunities to better serve user needs in a way that's commercially viable for the business.
- Evaluate client feedback around your products, building a clear picture of product performance.
- Identify, manage and leverage stakeholders to support the team in delivering their vision.
- Work with experts from across HL to prototype solutions and test a well-formed hypothesis.
- Set clear outcome focused goals and objectives that are consistently met through iteratively improving ways of working.
- Develop junior team members through contributing to the Product Management Community of Practice and through mentoring.
About you:
- Extensive experience within a Product Management role, within Financial Services.
- Bring expertise in delivering excellent client facing journeys, understanding the need for excellent user experience.
- Experience within the retirement space.
- Strong understanding of digital technology and current and emerging themes.
- Accomplished in forging effective relationships at all levels, skilled at influencing, negotiating and managing challenging conversations with ease.
- Creative-minded and able to identify and solve problems, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and work well in a fast paced and changeable environment.
- Able to balance tactical and strategic change to ensure value is delivered quickly.
Interview process:
This will be a 2-stage interview process consisting of an introductory conversation and a competency interview with assessment task.
Working Schedule:
The role is based in our Bristol head office. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. For this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to allow you to work from home or the office, with an expectation of once every two weeks in the office.
