About the role
Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) are now recruiting for a Rule Mapping Expert to support the development of a comprehensive rule mapping inventory across HL. Creating rules maps for the existing suite of regulatory obligations, working across the business to demonstrate how processes and controls meet relevant regulatory requirements for the industry. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a brand new, dynamic team where you'll be working closely with the Rules Mapping Lead and Compliance colleagues to ensure each requirement has the correct application and interpretation to enable rule owners to understand their obligations.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting the Rules Mapping Lead in the creation of comprehensive rule mapping solution across organisation.
- Engaging in stakeholder management and work with them to complete rules mapping.
- Assisting with the development of functional RegTech requirements and ongoing enhancements.
- Identifying efficiencies and leverage opportunities.
- Identifying risks and mitigations relating to the rules mapping process and/or system.
- Contributing towards maintaining a risk-based approach to enable effective prioritisation across the organisation.
- Executing rule mapping consistent with prioritisation approach.
- Ensuring rule mapping articulates the applicability and interpretation for each regulated entity correctly.
- Participating in the development of rule mapping procedures for BAU handover to rule owners and support with training and handover, and the development of the 1B model.
- Identifying and establishing links to risks and validated controls.
- Supporting with project management activities during the project phase including the creation of progress reports and MI.
About you:
- Strong knowledge of relevant financial services regulations, with awareness of those applicable to Hargreaves Lansdown regulated activities.
- Experience within a Compliance or Risk Analyst capacity with a large focus on rules mapping.
- Detailed knowledge of FCA handbook.
- The ability to interpret and articulate the meaning of complex rules and standards in such a way that they can be linked to business activities and processes in a straightforward way.
- Very strong attention to detail.
- Previous experience in writing and reviewing change management documents and presentations.
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at a senior level where necessary.
- Experience in previous rule mapping projects / regulatory change projects - Risk management and controls validation expertise.
- Previous experience implementing RegTech projects would be beneficial.
Interview process:
The interview process for this role will be a two-stage process including a technical task.
Working Schedule:
This role is based in Bristol head office, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a hybrid flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office.
