Location: Hybrid – Remote – Travel to Barnsley and Cumbria Salary: £100k prorated / equivalent day rate – inside or out of ir35 Key Responsibilities: Develop detailed and accurate cost estimates for power generation projects involving boilers and gas turbines. Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather necessary information for estimates. Evaluate and compare supplier and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitive pricing. Prepare and present detailed cost reports and summaries to management and clients. Assist in the preparation of project proposals and bid documents. Monitor and update estimates as project conditions change, ensuring all estimates remain accurate and relevant. Provide technical support and guidance during project execution to ensure adherence to estimated costs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). Extensive experience in power generation, specifically with boilers and gas turbines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
