Overview
A vacancy has arisen for a Centrifuge Operator. Responsibilities include:
- Take appropriate action in the event of abnormal conditions (e.g., blockages, system failures).
- Maintain good housekeeping standards of work areas and equipment.
- Carry out daily checks on equipment (centrifuges, conveyors and poly make-up plant) and report any defects or required consumables (e.g., additional polymer).
- Monitor product throughput.
- Carry out additional tasks the operator is trained and competent to do, such as greasing and preventative maintenance.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Valid telehandler license.
- Good understanding of site safety standards.
- Previous experience of operating centrifuges and associated equipment (poly make-up plant and conveyors).
- Comply with and understand all site golden rules, safety instructions and procedures.
- Undertake site-specific training as required.
- Knowledge and experience in a similar role.
- Good problem solver.
- Flexible approach to work and ability to work independently and on own initiative.
- Good time keeping and willingness to work overtime as necessary.
- Good communication skills with colleagues, other contractors and clients at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
