School Administrator - Specialist SEND School

Salary: £26,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
Location - Braintree, Essex
Are you an organised, approachable administrator who enjoys being at the heart of a busy team?

We're recruiting for a School Administrator to join a specialist independent SEND school supporting children and young people with autism, SEMH needs, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities.

The Role
You'll play a key part in keeping the school organised, compliant and running smoothly, including:

  • Managing reception, calls, emails and visitors
  • Maintaining pupil and staff records
  • Supporting attendance, admissions and EHCP administration
  • Maintaining the Single Central Record (SCR) and safer recruitment checks
  • Supporting safeguarding and compliance documentation
  • Processing invoices, orders and general administration
  • Preparing records for inspections and audits
  • Organising meetings, visits and school communications

What We're Looking For

  • Strong administration and organisational experience
  • Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Confident xgikmsk IT skills, including Microsoft Office and databases
  • A friendly, professional and empathetic approach
  • An understanding of safeguarding and handling sensitive information
  • Experience within education, SEND, health, social care or another regulated environment

Previous school/SEND experience and knowledge of KCSIE, EHCPs, school census or the SCR would be an advantage.
