SENCO - Special Educational Needs Coordinator Salary: £47,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience Contract: Full-time, Permanent We are recruiting an experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a specialist SEND school in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SENCO who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people with additional needs and wants to play a key role in shaping and developing SEND provision across the school. As SENCO, you will lead and continuously develop SEND provision, working closely with the Headteacher, teaching staff, families and external professionals. Leading SEND provision, policy and inclusive practice across the school Coordinating EHCPs, assessments, annual reviews and statutory processes Supporting and training staff in effective SEND practice Monitoring pupil progress and the effectiveness of SEND provision SENCO Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification National Award for SEN Coordination, or willingness/eligibility to complete the required SENCO qualification Experience supporting children with a range of additional needs, including autism, SEMH, speech and language needs and complex needs Experience coordinating SEND provision and annual reviews 47,000 - £50,000 salary, depending on experience ~ Permanent, full-time position ~ Opportunity to help shape SEND provision within a specialist school ~ Training and professional development opportunities ~ Opportunity to make a genuine difference to children and young people with SEND If you are an experienced SENCO looking for your next opportunity in Essex, we would love to hear from you.
