We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to join a childrens home in Northampton, supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties. This is a role for someone who understands the importance of consistency, boundaries and compassionate care.
About the role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will support children with daily routines, emotional wellbeing, education and personal development. You will help create a safe, stable and nurturing environment, working as part of a supportive and professional team, while following safeguarding practice and childcare legislation at all times.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a Residential Support Worker who is caring, resilient and emotionally mature.
- NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Caring for Children and Young People
- At least two years experience working in childrens residential care or a similar role
- Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding and best practice
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean enhanced DBS, or willingness to complete one
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
